AAPT Co-location Centres are staffed with professionals who are highly trained in Internet AND Telecommunications. These proficient professionals are on duty twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year to offer you the following services:

Installation

AAPT staff handles the installations of cross connections and associated equipment. Customers may also opt to use staff for installations of routers, servers, or other equipment, and for assistance when they are on-site for their own installations. Charges apply.

Remote Hands

Customers can be assured of continuous, trouble-free operations in remote locations by utilising the AAPT Remote Hands service. Delivered by highly trained technical staff, Remote Hands services range from power cycling equipment to performing emergency equipment replacement. Remote Hands services are available on demand. (Charges Apply)

Consulting Services

Customers requiring assistance with the design and implementation of their infrastructure have access to Network Engineers. An hourly fee is applicable.

For your convenience, AAPT also provides a number of services specific to Co-Location access and data:

Staging Room Reservation  
AAPT's customer staging room can be booked for customers who wish to assemble their equipment at the Co-location Centre.
Service Includes:  
•  Access to the Staging Room  
•  Access to the Co-Location Centre  


Customer Working Rooms  
These are purpose built facilities available for customer breakout, providing access to phones, fax and Internet access ports.
Service Includes:  
•  Access to the Co-location Centre  
•  Access to the Customer Working Rooms (max. 3 people)  


Cabinet Reservation  
Additional cabinets can be reserved beside existing customer's cabinets (only available when ordering initial cabinet, whole cabinets only). This service is only available to customers who already have cabinets with Internet Access and intend to cross connect cabinets.
Service Includes:  
•  Standard cabinet Part No. SEC-CAB-1 and SU (with all services as per the standard Secure Cabinet offering)  
•  Cross connect to primary cabinet with Internet Access  


Server Reboot  
At a customer’s request, AAPT will perform a server reboot. Available 24 x 7 hours a day.
Service Includes:  
•  Server Reboot  
•  Checking server is powered up  


Tape Backup Facility  
At a customer’s request, AAPT will change, identify and securely store backup media. The customer specifies, documents and configures the backup routing and supplies the backup media. The customer is responsible for media storage and forwarding costs.
Service Includes:  
•  Management of backup media  
•  Storage of Backup media in Co-Location Centre vault  
•  Retrieval of backup media from vault when required  


Data Services  
AAPT provides data connection between the Co-location Centre Krone Block and the customer’s rack for PSTN, ISDN, DDS
Service Includes:  
•  Wiring and Installation of direct connections into customer's racks
