Leveraging the relationship with our parent company, Telecom New Zealand, AAPT has become a leading supplier of capacity via the Southern Cross cable. This means we can offer ISPs access to an excellent level of scalability, redundancy and reliability at competitive rates.
ISP Direct offers ISPs dramatic cost savings via a choice of either a fixed cost or a volume based pricing model, giving our customers the ability to improve their profitability. Customers who have recently signed up for ISP Direct have found their traffic costs have reduced by as much as half.
DSL Direct - Wholesale ADSL
DSL Direct is an access service product designed to provide ISPs with access to the Internet using ADSL tails. The ADSL tails are available in four speeds:
- 256 / 64 Kbps
- 512 / 128 Kbps
- 512 / 512 Kbps
- 1536 / 256 Kbps
DSL Direct provides DSL access via all of Telstra's DSL enabled exchanges. Internet bandwidth is supplied using AAPT's ISP Direct product. All Layer 3 traffic for the ISP's ADSL tails must be delivered via AAPT.
DSL Direct enables Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting (AAA) to be managed by the Wholesale customer's own RADIUS server. The ISP must also provide a router capable of terminating an L2TP tunnel.
DSL Direct provides a B2B provisioning solution for ISP customers to easily manage adds, moves and changes for end users of the DSL tail services.
DSL Direct is available in all capital cities on the Eastern seaboard. Each ISP customer must have a point of interconnect (POI) in one of the capital city regions of Victoria, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory or Queensland.
National Dialup - Wholesale Dialup
National Dialup is an ISP Internet access solution that provides dialup access via a nationwide termination of PSTN and ISDN calls using a single national access service number commencing with the prefix 0198.
National Dialup offers ISPs their own dedicated 0198 service number/s that their end users can dial to gain access to the Internet.
The end-users incur standard carrier charges for calls terminated on a National DiaIup service number. Calls made to any of these numbers using a PSTN line will be charged at local call rates.
National Dialup enables Authentication, Authorisation and Accounting (AAA) to be managed by the ISP's own RADIUS server. AAPT manages ISP authentication via the called number (DNIS), giving customers a unique dial access number for their end users.
To assist with customer support and trouble shooting, AAPT also passes Call Line Identifier (CLI) records to customers and provides a secure online facility for terminating active user sessions.
Co-Location - Wholesale Co-Location Facilities
AAPT can house ISP hardware including webservers, mailservers and communications equipment within AAPT's highly secure Co-Location facilities.
Offering a Telco-class environment including climate control, redundant power and backup diesel-powered generator, AAPT can help ensure that your mission-critical applications are available to the Internet 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
ISP equipment is connected directly to the Internet backbone via Ethernet, which saves our customers significant data service costs.
Above all, AAPT's Co-Location facilities gives our customers peace of mind, knowing that their equipment is close to the internet and secure.
AAPT provides Co-Location facilities at all major capital cities Australia-wide.
